- Abstract
- This is a product of MESA project that shows 2015 land use land cover (lulc) product for Ruvubu National Park - Burundi (WDPA ID: 9160) which is part of a 3 epoch time series LULC classification produced by the Natural Habitat Conservation (NHC) unit of the MESA-IGAD thema (http://mesa.icpac.net/). Landsat OLI (2015) image was used. JRC ImpactToolbox was used for image pre-processing, classification and validation. The extent of the product includes a 10km buffer from the boundary of the Protected Area (PA). For validation, the MESA-IGAD team in collaboration with respective National Focal Points from the member countries carried out field data collection exercise that yielded GPS location of representative classes, photographs of the classes and description of the vegetation cover.
