Purpose

The purpose of this dataset is to provide spatially explicit population density estimates for Ethiopia to support vulnerability assesment  - through the exposure component which is one of the vulnerability components , disaster risk assessment, and sustainable development efforts. It enables analysts and decision-makers to identify population exposure to natural hazards such as droughts, floods and to prioritize interventions based on population distribution.
